The Old Bazaar Kapali Carshi is one of the largest covered markets in the world. It has 61 covered streets and over 4 thousand shops in an area of 30,700 m2 and attracts about 250 thousand to 400 thousand visitors per day.

Continue to Topkapı, the Sultan's Winter Palace.
Topkapı Palace served as the main residence and administrative headquarters of the Ottoman sultans in the 15th and 16th centuries. Construction, ordered by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror, began in 1459, six years after the
conquest of Constantinople. Topkapı was originally called the "New Palace" (Yeni Saray) to distinguish it from the "Old Palace" (Eski Saray) in Beyazıt Square. The palace complex consists of four main courtyards and many
smaller buildings. Female members of the Sultan's family lived in the harem, and the main state officials, including the Grand Vizier, held meetings in the Imperial Council building.

The Sultan Ahmet Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque, designed by Albanian architect Sinani, is an Ottoman-era mosque built between 1609 and 1616 during the reign of Ahmet I. The Blue Mosque combines many Byzantine elements of the neighboring Hagia Sophia with traditional Islamic architecture and is considered to be the last great mosque of the classical period.

Hagia Sophia, officially the Great Mosque of Hagia Sophia and formerly the Church of Hagia Sophia, was built in 537 as the patriarchal cathedral of the imperial capital of Constantinople, was the largest Christian church of the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantine Empire) and the Eastern Orthodox Church, except during the Latin Empire from 1204 to 1261, when it became the city's Roman Catholic cathedral. In 1453, after the Fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Empire, it was converted into a mosque. In 1935, the secular Republic of Turkey established it as a museum. In 2020, it reopened as a mosque.

The Hippodrome of Constantinople was the sporting and social center of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire. Today it is a square named Sultanahmet Meydani, with some fragments of the original structure surviving.
